Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, and as part of the college's continuous efforts to enhance scientific knowledge and practical skills while elevating the standard of healthcare performance, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy held a training workshop entitled "Rational Use of Medications in Medical Detachments."
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Zulfiqar Al-Bassam, alongside a number of college faculty members, graduates, and medical group students. Its core sessions were presented by a select group of the college's faculty members: Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Hamid Abdul-Hussain, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, and Asst. Lect. Ahmad Nizar, who reviewed the latest scientific practices regarding the safe and effective use of medications within medical detachments.
The workshop addressed several important pillars that focused on consolidating the concepts of the rational use of drugs, reducing medication errors, and enhancing the efficiency of healthcare staff in handling pharmaceutical treatments according to rigorous scientific and professional foundations.
Furthermore, the workshop aimed to develop the participants' applied skills and advance their scientific knowledge, thereby contributing to improving the quality of health services provided to patients and raising the level of healthcare across various medical institutions.
